I have days when I am a tad bit overwhelmed. I could be overwhelmed from the traffic, the Thai language, the overwhelming joy and peace Jesus brings to me, etc....it could be a number of things. Today, I am overwhelmed by God's love for me. He loves me and wants me to be filled with His joy. He wants me to be a beacon of light for Him. He wants us to be a light in this dark world. I have days when I sit and think about the darkness around me and I remember that God's light shines through me. I can make a difference in the lives of people I meet just by smiling, speaking to say "hello" or complimenting the person's shirt.

I (Tina) thought I would begin blogging to make note of my experiences in a third world country and the culture differences. I will more than likely mention my thoughts of being a missionary and the difficulties I have discovered. I am not a veteran of the missionary life, but very quickly did I learn the battles missionaries face daily. This will be an outlet for me to share my thoughts, ideas, and experiences with family and friends. You may follow us on Facebook (click the icon in the top right corner) and/or you may subscribe to our monthly eNewsletters we send to our partners/family/friends. Send me an email at I look forward to sharing in the coming days and months. |
